Our Instructors

All CEA instructors are actively licensed and registered in their professions. All of the RN’s are also Certified Childbirth Instructors. Breastfeeding instructors are Certified Lactation Counselors. In addition, our instructors are required to have 6 hours in continuing education each year pertaining to childbirth education.


Amy Battoclette RD, LD Registered and Licensed Dietitian

  • Married with 4 children.
  • Worked as a clinical dietitian and renal dietitian.

Jackie Clippinger BSN, RN, CPCE Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Registered Nurse, Certified Professional Childbirth Educator

Scherry Eshom RD, LD CLC Registered and Licensed Dietitian, Certified Lactation Counselor

  • Worked at Children’s Hospital and as Senior Nutritionist for the Maternal and Infant Care Project in Birmingham AL, and with WIC in Birmingham and Cincinnati

Candace Fischer MSN, RN, CPCE, Masters of Science in Nursing, Registered Nurse, Certified Professional Childbirth Educator

  • Worked in Newborn Special Care and Mother/Baby unit and have worked as a Doula (labor assistant).

Linda Feist BSN, RN, CPCE Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Registered Nurse, Certified Professional Childbirth Educator.  Also certified in Neonatal Resuscitation, CPR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Electronic Fetal Monitoring.

Carol Hafner RN, CPCE Registered Nurse, Certified Professional Childbirth Educator

  • Married with 5 children and 4 grandchildren
  • Nursing experience in Mother/Baby care, Newborn Nursery, and Labor and Delivery. Currently working as a nurse health educator for Healthy Moms and Babes.

Peggy Hock   BSN, RN, CPCE Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Registered Nurse, Certified Professional Childbirth Educator.  Also a Certified School Nurse.

Hadley Huffman RD, LD Registered and Licensed Dietitian

  • Worked as a dietitian at a local large corporation to provide nutrition consultations and nutrition education to the employees and their families.

  • Married with 5 children and 2 grandchildren.
  • Worked as a doula for 20 years.
  • “I took CEA classes and was empowered to birth all five of my children unmedicated.  I teach to give that same knowledge and empowerment to the couples in my class.  I believe that birth is a wonderful and powerful event and that women have the right to experience it without interventions.”

Judy Spetz RN

  • Joined CEA in 1970 as an instructor, 1986 as our scheduler
  • Married with 5 children and 12 grandchildren
  • “I really liked helping mothers achieve the best childbirth experience they could and help them succeed with breastfeeding.”
  • Judy is the GLUE that holds us together and keeps CEA running smoothly.  She is still helping new mothers even though she is not in the classroom.

Terry Titkemeyer RN, Certified Childbirth Educator

  • Worked at Texas Childrens Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital Newborn ICU, Mother/Baby visits in Cincinnati area.

Julie Wanstrath Ed, RD, LD, CLC,  Master in Education, Registered and Licensed Dietitian, Certified Lactation Counselor.  Also a Certified Diabetes Educator

  • Currently a lactation consultant at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
